A new café serving locally sourced produce is now open on Chesil Beach.
It is now open and serving food sourced from Dorset, and is the latest addition to the popular chain of eateries in the county.
The Salt Pig already has restaurants and cafes at locations including Tyneham and Careys Secret Garden just outside Wareham.
Dorset Wildlife Trust, which owns the Chesil Beach café site, had been seeking a new operator since Taste Café at the centre closed down at the end of August last year, after 10 years of trading.
The new café is now open from 10am until 4pm and serves light lunches to those visiting the Wild Chesil Centre.
Visitors to the centre will once again be able to grab a bite to eat as they discover the beach and Fleet Lagoon which is an important area for wildlife.
The Fleet lagoon is also the largest tidal lagoon in the UK and one of the most important Marine Protected Areas in the country.
