WEYMOUTH Pavilion was illuminated in purple to remember Roxy Phillips, who died on the railway tracks last year.
Roxy, 15, was found dead on the railway line in Upwey on March 23, 2023.
Roxy had been out with a friend on the night of Wednesday March 22 and tragically died from injuries caused by electrocution after coming into contact with an electrified railway line in the early hours of the following day.
British Transport Police confirmed the teenage girl was pronounced dead at the scene.
On Friday, March 23, 2024, Weymouth Pavilion was lit up in purple, Roxy's favourite colour and her friends decorated her favourite bench in Radipole Gardens with purple flowers in her memory.
Her mother Kerri Walker said the light display meant "the world to her".
She added: "My friend Naomi Rice contacted the Pavilion and asked if they could light it up purple, I didn't know it was going to happen.
"It was amazing, for them to do that, I was so grateful.
"To everybody else it may look like just purple lights but to me it was so meaningful that Roxy lives on
"Purple was her favourite colour, we all wear purple hearts to remember her and we bring purple flowers to her bench."

Kerri thanked the people of Weymouth for their continued support in helping to remember her daughter.
She added: "The people of this town have been so lovely, no one has forgotten Roxy and that means so much.
"Weymouth Town Council and the people who operate the gardens have been so lovely to allow the displays on her bench.
"On Friday, lots of people changed their profile pictures on Facebook to purple hearts in her memory.
"It is a really moving tribute.
"I feel like her death affected the whole community and it shows the impact she had on everyone.
"I am so proud to be Roxy's mum."
Purple padlocks have also been placed on bridges all over the world so that she is never forgotten.

Padlocks have been put on bridges in London, Portugal, Poland, Prague, Amsterdam, Devon and a message was written on the Peace Wall in Belfast.
"I just want her name everywhere, so that nobody forgets her," said Kerri.
An inquest into Roxy's death was opened in June 2023.
A coroner is to examine whether there were any potential failings in the events leading up to the death
