The A35 was closed for nearly three hours after a tractor overturned in a crash with a car.
The vehicle was overturned on the right-hand lane of the A35 Puddletown Bypass causing the road to be blocked for around 30 minutes at around 8pm.
Four police cars were called to the scene of the crash, before the Athelhampton turn off towards Dorchester.
A witness said: "I was stuck there for over half an hour and I think four police cars were there.
"There was a tractor on its side in the fast lane, this was around 8.30 last night.
"I assumed the tractor had fallen off the bridge or a lorry."
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: "We were called at 8.09pm on Monday, March 25 to a report of a collision involving a tractor and a car on the A35 Puddletown bypass.
"It is reported that the tractor overturned.
"The road was closed westbound while the vehicles were recovered. It reopened at around 10.45pm.
"There were no injuries reported."
