Class A and B drugs have been ‘removed from the streets’ in North Dorset.
Whilst out on patrols across the North Dorset area, an officer from Sturminster Newton Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) was able to help remove class A and B drugs from the streets and develop more intelligence regarding them.
The evening didn’t stop there however as the officer was also able to deal with a number of traffic offences, stopped plant machinery in rural areas to make sure that it hadn’t been stolen and also searched for some people that the courts would like to speak with.
Additional jobs included assisting colleagues with some CCTV enquiries and reassuring vulnerable people, and victims, in the community.
A spokesperson for Sturminster Newton Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “Sturminster Newton NPT was busy as ever visiting and reassuring vulnerable people, and victims, in the community.
“Some joint working to remove Class A and B drugs from the streets and developing more intel, dealing with some traffic offences, stopping plant machinery out in the rural areas to ensure it had not just been stolen, and searching for some people the courts would like to speak with.
“Not forgetting assisting colleagues with CCTV enquiries. Many miles were driven, lots of towns and villages visited including Stalbridge, Marnhull, Manston, Shaftesbuty, Gillingham, Stourton Caundle, HMPGuysMarsh and even Blandford.”
