Budding writers are needed to join an exciting and unique community theatre project.
A free immersive theatre trail will be held in Dorchester to mark the 80th anniversary of D-Day.
In recent months, a group of history students diligently combed through the historical archives, unearthing stories, memories, and intriguing facts about D-Day and Dorchester.
Their research will be transformed into seven small (10-minute) performances, to be presented simultaneously around town in an immersive story trail.
Each production will have its own dedicated writer(s) and actors, capable of standing alone while also contributing to the overarching narrative.
Successful candidates will work closely with Penny Levick, the director, and Matilda Manley, representing Discover Dorchester.
This is a voluntary opportunity that offers a unique platform to showcase your talent, engage with the community, and be part of a truly special endeavour.
The writing period will be from mid March to mid April: followed by the rehearsal period in April/May/June and performances on June 8.
Text or WhatsApp Penny on 0789 4959698 or email pennylevick@gmail.com if you’re interested in taking part or have any questions.
