A Weymouth group has donated a sum of more than £3,000 to local charities.
The Weymouth branch of Moose International has raised £,3500 which has been divided between seven charities.
A total of £500 each was donated to the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance, Weymouth Aphasia Group, Dorset Kidney Patients Association, The Veterans Hub, Tiny Troopers, Alzheimer’s Society, Young Minds and Gully's Trust.
The money was raised by members who held raffles, coffee mornings and seafront stalls.
An additional amount also came from a donation in memory of a long-standing Moose supporter Silvia Noakes.
Representatives from all the charities were invited to the Moose Lodge to receive their cheques and to give a short talk about the work they do before they enjoyed some refreshments.
Moose members are now fundraising for next year, and their first event is a coffee morning with various stalls which will take place on April 6, from 10am – 12.30am at their premises on Chickerell Road.
