A controlled blaze was extinguished in rural Dorset, as the fire service issue advice on these type of fires.
The incident was reported to have occurred on Sunday, March 17 at around 7.10pm.
It was reported to have taken place in the countryside close to the Puddletown area from an unknown origin, which was later found to be a controlled burn following a search of the location.
One fire engine from Bere Regis Fire Station was on the scene to investigate the incident and ensure that there was no risk of fire spread.
Advice was then given to the person responsible for starting the blaze.
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire released advice to the public, saying that if they are planning a large bonfire, or another type of controlled burning that will be visible to passers-by, they should let Fire Control know by completing an online notification.
