DORSET endured a painful day two of the 2024 Cheltenham Festival with a series of disappointing results.
Harry Fry’s Might I jumped poorly throughout on his way to 13th in the Coral Cup Hurdle, bursting through two obstacles that dented his progress.
Boothill was a non-runner for Fry in the Champion Chase but Joe Tizzard’s Elixir De Nutz looked on course for third until fading badly, eventually being pulled up behind winner Captain Guinness.
That left Triple Trade as Dorset’s final shot at glory on day two, the horse bred in Dorset by Glanvilles Stud and trained by Tizzard.

And, going off at 28/1, a solid performance earned eighth place in the Grand Annual Chase.
Dorset has two runners on day three and another three on the final day, including the unbeaten Gidleigh Park.
