An incident in Newton's Cove in Weymouth has been described as 'nothing untoward' by emergency services.
Yesterday morning (Friday, March 1), paramedics, police officers , coastguard teams and a lifeboat team from Weymouth were called to an incident at the cove near to Nothe Fort.
A South Western Ambulance crew, along with coastguard teams from Portland Bill and Wyke responded to the incident at 11.34am.
Following enquiries with swimmers and walkers in the area, the coastguard teams were stood down.
A spokesperson for Wyke Coastguard said: "We were tasked at 11.34am along with Portland Bill Coastguard Rescue Team to assist South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust with an incident in Newton's Cove.
"Enquiries were made amongst the numerous swimmers and walkers. With nothing untoward found team were stood down."
HM Coastguard, South Western Ambulance Service, Dorset Police have been contacted for more information.
