POLICE have warned Dorchester locals to "report people using catapults" in the area.
It comes after patrols from the Neighbourhood Policing Team found damage to lamp posts.
Due to the height, the police said it was "likely" the damage was "caused by catapults".
A spokesperson for Dorchester Police said: "Neighbourhood patrols noted damage to street lights in Cambridge Road whilst patrolling in February.
"Due to the height of the lamp posts, it seemed likely the damage may have been caused by catapults.
"Patrols will continue in the area.
"Please report to The Dorchester Neighbourhood Policing Team if you see persons using catapults."
