Police recovered an axe, a saw and screwdrivers from a wanted man who they say is linked to three burglaries in Weymouth.
As previously reported, officers from Weymouth Force Suspect Group (FSG) and Weymouth and Portland Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) successfully found a man who was wanted on prison recall.
The officers attended an address in Weymouth following information that a wanted male may be present.
The man was arrested and tools and other suspected stolen property were recovered by police, including screwdrivers, an axe and a saw.
A spokesperson for Weymouth and Portland Police said: "Officers attended and knocked on the door, whilst doing this the wanted male made off from the rear of the property.
"Unfortunately for him straight into the hands of two plain-clothed officers.
"The male was arrested for three outstanding burglaries and a recall to prison.
"A search was conducted of the address with numerous items such as tools and other suspected stolen property being recovered. Enquiries continue."
