A Weymouth man has appeared at crown court to deny charges of affray and possession of an offensive weapon on a town walking trail.
Barry William McCusker, aged 46, of Abbotsbury Road, appeared in Bournemouth Crown Court on Thursday, February 29.
The charges relate to an alleged incident on the Rodwell Trail, namely in the area of Old Castle Road, on Friday, June 16, 2023, at around 8.45am, when McCusker is accused of having with him a black metal pole in a public place.
McCusker denies the charges against him and the case will now go to trial at Bournemouth Crown Court on Tuesday, August 27.
He was granted unconditional bail.
