The manager of a school bus service is celebrating after winning a top award.
Chris Wisbey has been named Employee of the Year 2023 by the Dorset bus operator Damory.
Chris, described as ‘understated but totally epitomising Damory’, was presented with his award by managing director, Andrew Wickham.
Mr Wickham said: “Chris joined Damory as a trainee and is based in Dorchester - our most westerly depot. From here, he manages Damory’s Dorchester schools bus fleet - and he is very good at it.
“He manages the ‘run out’ from this location every day - signing on every coach before his team arrives.
"He makes sure his colleagues have everything they need - even bringing in hot flasks during the winter.
“Keeping his depot in tip-top shape is vitally important, and Chris oversees everything - from painting yellow parking lines and trimming trees to litter picking, deep coach cleaning and shed fixing.
“Depots like Dorchester simply would not run without managers like Chris. He is totally dedicated and epitomises the Damory ‘can do’ attitude. I would like to congratulate him and wish him a successful year ahead.”
In recognition of his efforts, Chris received £500 worth of vouchers and a trophy.
