An evening of entertainment to mark St David’s Day is taking place in Dorset to raise money for two causes.
The evening of fun to honour the patron saint of Wales will be held at Upwey and Broadwey Memorial Hall at DT3 5NG on Saturday, March 2 at 6pm.
Proceeds raised from the event will go to the Brain Tumour Charity and St Laurence Church in Upwey. Ed Hintz and Dorset for singing will be in attendance to entertain throughout the night.
There will also be a raffle, quiz, Welsh trivia, prizes as well as an Eisteddford competition- stemming from the traditional Welsh poetry competition.
A two-course meal on the night includes cawl, a form of lamb stew, as well as bread and cheese and traditional homemade Welsh puddings. Tea and coffee will be provided but organisers have asked guests to bring their own drinks.
Tickets are £12.50 and can be purchased in advance by calling Maureen Carter on 01305 812723.
