Armed police were involved in the seizure of a stash of knives from a car they say "has links to drug crime".
Officers arrested the driver and passenger of a car after a search revealed the blades, following enquiries about the documents of the vehicle and driver.
Both people were interviewed at the roadside on Beverley Road, Littlemoor, Weymouth and then released to be dealt with at a later date.
A spokesperson for Weymouth and Portland Police said: "(On Friday) afternoon officers from Weymouth & Portland Neighbourhood Policing Team, Neighbourhood Enforcement Team, Firearms and Roads Policing stopped a vehicle on Beverley Road, Weymouth.
