A road in Dorset will be closed for three weeks of repairs.
Highgate Lane, between Crossways and Dorchester, will be closed from Tuesday, February 27, for works that are anticipated to be completed by Friday, March 15.
This closure is so that Dorset Council can carry out carriageway maintenance works.
This closure is from Highgate Lane's junction with the West Stafford by-pass for a distance of 2,050 metres in a north-easterly direction.
A clearway will also be in effect on this stretch - meaning that no vehicles can park or stop and may be towed.
The road will be closed daily, between 9am and 4pm, and will be re-opened to traffic overnight and at weekends.
If a vehicle has been removed, the owner must contact the council’s vehicle recovery contractor: Ashleywood Recovery Ltd/Bride Valley Recovery Ltd on 01305 889421.
For further information about the work being undertaken and access arrangements, call Dorset Council on 01305 228100. To discuss the closure order, contact Dorset Council on 01305 221020.
