A 'serious' crash on the Dorset and Somerset border forced a busy road to close.
The A30 was been shut in both directions from the roundabout at Compton Road in Yeovil to A352 Horsecastles Lane in Sherborne.
The incident caused severe delays for traffic travelling between Yeovil and Sherborne.
