Fire crews attended a small fire at a vehicle repair shop last night.
Dorset & Wiltshire Fire & Rescue received a report that a fire had broken out in the open at the Butts Pond Industrial Estate, Sturminster Newton at 6:28pm on February 19.
Two fire engines from Sturminster Newton and one 4x4 vehicle from Blandford attended the scene to tackle a fire involving tyres, two vehicles and some storage containers.
The fire was extinguished at 8:40pm and crews remained on scene until just before 9pm.
The fire reportedly originated from the Sturminster Newton branch of DCM Autocentres. No customer property was damaged and no one was hurt.
A spokesperson from Dorset & Wiltshire Fire & Rescue said: "We were called to Butts Pond Industrial Estate, Sturminster Newton at 6:28pm yesterday following reports of a fire in the open.
"Two fire engines from Sturminster Newton and one 4x4 vehicle from Blandford were mobilised to the incident and on arrival found a fire involving some tyres, two vehicles and some storage containers.
"A foam line, main line and hose reel jet were used to extinguish the fire and the stop message was received at 8:40pm. Crews remained on scene until just before 9pm. The cause of this fire has not been confirmed and no casualties were reported."
