WEYMOUTH-Waterloo services are being held up following an earlier fire near the tracks.
The lineside fire was reported in the Branksome area between Poole and Bournemouth earlier today.
Although the fire is out and trains can pass the area, they are having to do so at reduced speed so this is causing delays.
South Western Railway said train services may be delayed or revised. Disruption is expected until the end of the day.
The operator said: "Following a fire next to the track at Branksome all lines have now re-opened and a speed restriction has been imposed on the line towards Weymouth until the end of the day; as a result of this some services may subject to delays or revisions until end of service.
"For further information or onward travel advice please speak to a member of staff or use a station help point.
"We are very sorry for any delay that this may cause to your journey."
