A person has been taken to hospital after a three vehicle crash on a busy Weymouth road.
Three vehicles collided with each other at the Jurassic Roundabout on the A354 just after 6am this morning resulting in one person going to hospital for treatment, with minor injuries according to police.
Dorset Police responded with three police cars and part of the roundabout was blocked off as the road was cleared.
The road reopened at 7.30am.
An eye witness at around 6.45am described seeing part of the roundabout blocked off and car in the middle of the roundabout.
He said: "I was driving up to the entrance of the roundabout and there were three police cars, all with their lights flashing.
"They had put cones out in the left hand lane and it looked like they were speaking to one person and a car with hazards was on the grass in the middle of the roundabout."
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: "We were called at 6.18am to a report of a three vehicle collision at the Jurassic Roundabout in Weymouth.
Officers attended, minor injuries were reported, and one person is attending hospital for treatment.
"Vehicles were recovered and the road was cleared at around 7.30am."
