A man has been found 'safe' after an emergency services responded to a concern for welfare call.
Lifeboats from Swanage Lifeboat Station along with officers from Dorset Police responded in the early hours of Thursday, February 15 to search for the man.
Two lifeboats were launched and searched from Sheps Hollow to South Beach Studland before reports came in that the person had been located ashore in Swanage.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: "We received a report at 12.31am on Thursday, February 15, raising concern for the welfare of a man at Swanage beach.
"Officers attended and following enquiries and searches, the man was located."
A spokesperson for the Swanage Lifeboat Station added: "In the early hours of this morning, Swanage lifeboats launched for the second time in 2024 to assist with the search for a missing person.
"Both lifeboats searched from Sheps Hollow to South Beach Studland when reports came in that the person had been found ashore in Swanage.
"With confirmation that the person was found safe ashore, the lifeboats were released to return to station, arriving back around 2.30am to wash down and refuel the lifeboats."
