Fluid on the road after a single vehicle crash forced a major Dorset road to close earlier today - causing delays to traffic.
The A31 has closed between the Roundhouse roundabout at Sturminster Marshall and Brickyard Lane near the Coventry Arms pub junction to Corfe Castle on the eastbound carriage way.
The incident caused traffic to queue back pass Roundhouse roundabout and up to the petrol station near the Lake Gates roundabout at Wimborne and had caused delays on the opposite side of the road.
The local authority was called to assist in clearing up the fluid and recovery of the vehicle was been arranged.
The road has now reopened.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: "We were called at 7.14am to the report of single vehicle collision
"The location is near to Roundhouse roundabout on the A31.
"Recovery has been requested and the local authority has been made aware due to fluid on the road
"The road currently closed."
