An RSPB group is hosting a talk from the co-author of the Handbook for British Birds on migration.
The South Dorset RSPB Group will be giving the talk in the Quiet Space in Poundbury. It will take place on Thursday, February 22 at 7.30pm.
Peter Holden will be giving a talk titled ‘Birds Without Borders’ to the group, which tells the fascinating story of migration, including the strategies of other animals.
With a passionate interest in birds, Peter was a member of staff for the RSPB and co-wrote their handbook for British birds, a reference book for birdwatchers of all levels.
He also joined Bill Oddie for a series of BBC programmes called Bird in the Nest and was awarded an MBE for services to Nature Conservation in 2009.
All are welcome to the talk. Admission is £3 for members and £4 for non-members which includes refreshments of coffee and biscuits.
