Flood and weather warnings are in place for Weymouth as Dorset is battered by wind and rain. 

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for rain the county from 2am today, Thursday, until 6am tomorrow.

The Environment Agency has issued a flood alert for Weymouth rivers, with flooding expected to affect locations near the River Wey, Preston Brook, River Jordan, with low lying land expected to be most affected.

Heavy rain is set to hit the seaside town of Weymouth around 2pm, with a longer spell expected compared to the Dorchester. The weather will clear up overnight in patches before returning in the early hours of Friday morning that are set to last through until 11am.
