Over £1,000 has been raised for wildlife in Dorset thanks to an online tool that helps people make savings on their water bills.
GetWaterFit was launched in 2020 by Wessex Water and has helped to raise £1258.79 for the Dorset Wildlife Trust.
The online tool is designed to help customers understand their household water use whilst offering tips on how to reduce it, and it enables them to order free water saving devices.
Customers are then be able to make pledges and take part in challenges to save water, which will earn them virtual coins that can be used to raise money for charities - one of which is the Dorset Wildlife Trust.
A spokesperson for Dorset Wildlife Trust :"We would like to say a huge thank you to Wessex Water who have raised £1258.79 for Dorset Wildlife Trust through their GetWaterFit initiative."
