A London-based jazz band will be returning to Dorset for a second tour this March.
Following the group’s sell-out tour in 2023, Latchepen will be performing at three village halls in Dorset as part of a spring programme of events by Artsreach.
The band all perform jazz on string instruments and consists of four members: Matt Holborn (violin), Kourosh Kanani (guitar), Dave Kelbie (guitar) and Simon Read (bass). The members have expressed a collective admiration of Django Reinhardt and their music influences vary from Romani music to bebop.
Latchepen will begin its Dorset tour in Sydling St Nicholas Village Hall on Thursday, March 7. There will then be subsequent performances in Winterborne Stickland The Pamela Hambro Hall on Friday, March 8, Powerstock Hut on Saturday, March 9 and Studland Village Hall on Sunday, March 10.
Artsreach is Dorset’s touring arts organisation, giving rural communities across the county the opportunity to see and participate in high quality arts events in their own villages.
