TWO asylum seekers who were arrested on suspicion of sexual assault at a Weymouth nightclub have been released without charge.
Police received a report that a woman was sexually assaulted in Kika Beach on the Esplanade in Weymouth at 3.10am on Sunday, December 10.
Two men, aged 24 and 27, from Portland, were arrested on suspicion of sexual assault.
They were released on police bail as further enquiries were carried out.
Police have now confirmed that the arrested men have been released without charge and will face no further police action.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: "Detectives from Weymouth CID have carried out a detailed investigation into this incident, including a review of available CCTV footage and have spoken further with the woman involved and taken her views into consideration.
"Following a thorough review of the available evidence, the arrested men have been released from bail without charge and will face no further police action."
