A man escaped uninjured after his car had flipped on to its roof early this morning along a major Dorset road.
Police officers and paramedics were called to a car that crashed near the Charborough Estate at Almer on the A31 at 5.46 am on Thursday, January 18.
A commuter travelling to work described seeing a red Mini on its roof 'wedged' into a hedge.
He said: "Traffic was slow as I was coming round the corner near the entrance to Charborough Estate and I noticed the car wedged in the bush.
"It was completely upside down and on its roof - I just hope whoever was in it got out safe."
The man driving the car was unharmed, according to Dorset Police, who have arranged for the recovery of the vehicle.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: "We were called at 5.46am on Thursday, January 18, 2024, to a report of a single vehicle collision on the A31 at Almer.
"Officers attended with the ambulance service. The male driver did not sustain any injuries. Recovery is being arranged for the vehicle."
“A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) said: “We were called at 5.52am on Thursday, January 18 to a road traffic incident on the A31. We sent one double-crewed ambulance.”
