A post office branch in Weymouth is to close for refurbishment at the end of January.
Broadmeadow Post Office at Wyke Regis is to temporarily close for about six weeks as extensive building work is carried out at its premises on Portland Road.
The closure is from Wednesday January 31 at 10pm and is expected to last six weeks whilst the work is carried out. The branch is due to re-open on Monday, March 11 at 8am
Whilst the work is being done, alternative branches in the area will be available for residents to use which include the branches at 8 Trinity Street and 173 Abbotsbury Road.
Antoinette Chitty, Post Office Network Provision Lead, said: “We apologise for any inconvenience caused to our customers during the work. The safety of our customers is of paramount, therefore, to allow for the building work to take place, it was necessary for the service to close temporarily.”
