A man was taken to hospital after emergency services were called to an incident at Weymouth Harbour last night.
HM Coastguard, South West Ambulance Service and Dorset Police all responded to a concern for welfare call near Weymouth Pavilion.
A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) said: “We were called at 10.44pm on Thursday, January 11 to an incident in Weymouth.
"We sent one double crewed ambulance and conveyed one patient by land ambulance to Dorset County Hospital.”
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: "We received a report at 11.49pm on Thursday, January 11, raising concern for the welfare of a man believed to be in the area of Weymouth Harbour.
"Officers attended and the man was located near to Weymouth Pavilion and given appropriate care."
Wyke and Portland Bill Coastguard Rescue Teams responded to the call just before midnight to assist with the ambulance crew.
A spokesperson for Wyke Coastguard Rescue Team said: "January 11, no 4 tasked at 11.48pm, along with Portland Bill Coastguard Rescue Team to assist South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust with an incident in Weymouth harbour.
A spokesperson for HM Coastguard added: "HM Coastguard was responding to an incident where there was a concern for welfare.
"The alarm was raised with HM Coastguard at about 11.40pm on January 11 and, from the log, it looks like it was near the Pavilion."
