Emergency measures are being put in place across Dorset with temperatures set to plummet.
The action comes as temperatures are forecast to reach as low as 0 degrees by next week.
Dorset Council has triggered its emergency cold weather provisions for rough sleepers due to the significant drop in temperatures.
The local authority has urged people to make Julian House’s outreach team aware of anyone sleeping rough or to contact them on 01305 221000 for 24/7 advice.
Julian House is a charity that supports vulnerable and at-risk individuals, including adults and young people experiencing homelessness, escaping domestic abuse, adults with learning difficulties and people who need support after leaving prison.
The Met Office has warned that the weather next week is set to turn breezier, making it feel cold, with frost and fog overnight.
