A road in Weymouth will be closed for almost four weeks whilst a sewer is renovated.
Church Street in Upwey will be closed between its junctions with Stottingway Street and Goulds Hill, approximately 850 metres.
This closure will start on Monday, January 8 and is expected to be completed by Friday, February 2.
This closure allows Wessex Water to carry out sewer renovation works to prevent infiltration - which is when groundwater seeps into the system.
The alternative route, which will be signposted is as follows: B3159 - C53 - A354 - B3159.
For further information about the work being undertaken and access arrangements, call Wessex Water on 07867 462930.
To discuss the closure order, contact Dorset Council on 01305 221020.
