A BBC writer and presenter is coming to Weymouth to bring his new, exciting, high octane family science show to the stage.
Stefan Gates, known for his work on CBBC shows such as Edibles, Gastrolab and Gastronauts, is bringing his new show, Rude Science Live, to the Weymouth Pavilion on Tuesday, February 13.
His internationally renowned stage shows have headlined the most prestigious science events for the Royal Institution, Royal Society, BBC Live, Big Bang Fair, Science Museum, Wellcome and hundreds of science festivals.
A spokesperson for the show said: “Brace yourselves for TV Gastronaut Stefan Gates’ revolutionary, high-tech, highly-explosive new show, packed with outrageous science stunts.
“On the surface it’s a riot of disgusting experiments designed to delight 6-year-olds to early teens, but under the bonnet it’s a brilliantly constructed curriculum-driven science communication adventure designed to build a lasting fascination with science.
“It’s based on the acclaimed Rude Science book and following huge sell-out shows at science festivals across the UK it’s heading out on tour.”
“Stef is also a multi-award-winning STEM author and BBC writer/presenter, and his high-octane, unpatronizing delivery is adored by young audiences.
“He revels in tackling the fascinating science that no-one dares to talk about whilst staying firmly on the right side of BBC editorial guidelines.”
The show has two showings, one at 11.30am and another at 2.30pm, each one hour long .
Tickets for the show are priced at £17.50 for adults and £15.50 for children.
