A POLICE cordon has been put in place outside a Weymouth Hotel.
Emergency services including three police cars and two ambulances were seen outside the hotel last night.
Three police cars remained in front of the building today, where a police cordon had been put in place in front of the building.
A window on the first floor of the building has been smashed with shards of broken glass seen on the pavement.
The road was closed to the public last night.
A resident who lives on Maiden Street said: “Last night the street was totally closed off.
“There were ambulances, police cars, I saw paramedics going into the hotel.
“I was upstairs and I didn’t hear anything when it happened.
“I went to bed at about midnight and before I went to sleep I heard car doors slamming.
"I looked outside and saw all of the police cars and ambulances outside."
Dorset Police have been contacted for more information.
