A CAR was left on its roof and a woman was taken to hospital after a single-vehicle crash on a major road near Wool last night.
Firefighters from Wareham were called, alongside police and paramedics to a crash on the A352 in Hethfelton, near Binnegar Lane.
The road was blocked for around two hours following the crash.
The only occupant of the vehicle was taken to hospital for treatment to minor injuries sustained in the crash.
A spokesperson for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "We were called to a road at Hethfelton at 9.50pm last night following a one-vehicle road traffic collision, where the car had ended up on its roof.
"One crew from Wareham attended and made the scene safe; the driver wasn’t trapped and was already in the care of the ambulance service."
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: "At 9.20pm on Thursday, December 28, Dorset Police received a report of a single-vehicle road traffic collision on the A352 near Wareham.
"It is reported that a vehicle overturned close to Binnegar Lane, blocking traffic.
"Officers and ambulance crew attended the scene. A woman was taken to hospital for treatment to minor injuries.
"The vehicle was recovered and the road was reopened at around 11.20pm."
