A woman was "seriously injured" in a crash on a major road.
The cars, a white Ford Ranger, a grey Ford KA and a blue BMW 1 series, collided on the A30 Yeovil Road at Babylon Hill at around 3.25pm yesterday (Wednesday, December 20).
The driver of the BMW – a woman aged in her 30s from Sherborne – was taken to hospital for treatment to serious injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.
The drivers of the other vehicles were not injured.
Officers investigating the serious injury collision near Sherborne are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.
Police Constable Tom Ringer, of the Roads Policing Team, said: “We are carrying out a full investigation into the circumstances of the collision.
“I am appealing for any witnesses who have not already spoken with officers to please come forward.
“Also, I am keen to hear from anyone who has a dashcam fitted to their vehicle and may have captured anything of relevance that might assist our investigation.
“Finally, I would like to thank motorists for their patience and understanding during the road closure, which allowed us to carry out a detailed examination of the scene.”
