A Portland community came together to spread some festive joy.
Around 80-people braved the cold wearing Father Christmas hats to sing a selection of Christmas carols.
The group gathered around the Christmas tree at Southwell on Portland which has been provided by Portland Town Council.
The singers were joined by the Portland community choir and music was provided by Sue Geibel on the accordion.
Following the singing of the 10 carols the crowd enjoyed a selection of refreshments at the Avalanche Church.
Andrew Harvey, who joined the community gathering, offered his thanks to those who attended: “A good crowd tuned out to sing carols around the tree at Southwell Portland.
“Thanks to Portland Town Council who provide the tree and all others involved in any way."
