Passengers could be in for a festive treat as a bus has been adorned with Christmas decorations.
First Bus has decorated one of its vehicles serving Weymouth routes with tinsel, streamers, Santa stickers and candy cane balloons to welcome passengers on board this week.
The bus will take various routes across the Wessex area and has already travelled on the Chickerell service, number 8 and the Littlemoor service, number 2.
The First Wessex team of elves, led by Staff Manager Leanne Rowland-Bright, came in last Saturday to decorate the bus in their own time.
Amongst First Bus’s little helpers were Supervisor Ricki Frost, publicity officer, Chris Tatlow along with trainee Paul Hopkins, who gave up their time to help.
Leanne Rowland-Bright, Staff Manager at First Wessex said: “This year to bring some Christmas cheer to our customers, we’ve introduced our Christmas bus which will be out on the local services in and around Weymouth, Dorchester and Portland for whole of this week.
“We’ve had really good feedback from our drivers, who have requested to drive the bus on their shifts later in the week. Passengers from Chickerell loved it this morning and it even inspired them to sing Christmas carols!”
