Smoke and flames billow from a car as a ferocious fire engulfed the vehicle.
This dramatic shot was taken in the early hours of today as a crew from Dorchester Fire Station responded to the emergency.
They were called to the Piddlehinton area at just before 2am to reports of a vehicle fire and were met with this alarming site.
They called for extra help as they needed more water to fight the flames at this remote location.
Dorchester Fire Station said: "On arrival the vehicle was well alight so the crew got to work with one breathing apparatus wearer and a hose reel jet.
"The officer in charge requested a second appliance for more water which came from Dorchester.
"The fire was extinguished using one breathing apparatus wearer and two hose reel jets."
It was not until after 4am that the crews got back to the station in Dorchester.
