We are grateful that yet another local business has donated to our Christmas Toy Appeal.
Now running in its 24th year, our Toy Appeal aims to spread the Christmas spirit by helping to give children in need a present to unwrap on Christmas day.
Weymouth finance company Money Matters have generously donated £100 to our cause meaning there will now be more children able to open a present from under the tree this year.
The company has been established for over 30 years in the town, building an excellent reputation for providing mortgage and financial solutions across the county.
Working mainly with residential and commercial clients they aim to ensure to provide the best solution to suit their customers’ needs.
Money Matters director Brian Sheppard said: "Christmas is a special time of year, it has always been a pleasure to support to the Toy Appeal and this is our 15th year of donating.
“Given the financial hardship that many families are currently facing I feel that it is more important than ever for local businesses such as ourselves to give something back to the community that supports us, and to contribute towards this very worthy cause to help put a smile on as many children’s faces as possible this Christmas.
“We would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas.”
We asked readers to give a thought to children in need this Christmas and buy one extra present to go in a Dorset Echo Toy Appeal bin which were located at various local businesses.
All the toys collected will be distributed before Christmas to children who really appreciate them.
Businesses were also invited to make a £100 donation, and donations were also welcomed from readers for any amount.
The Toy Appeal bins have now been collected and we are no longer accepting donations.
