A CRACKDOWN on crime at Christmas is continuing with a focus on burglary prevention.
Dorset Police officers from the Weymouth and Portland Neighbourhood Policing Team visited Portland to offer advice to shop owners and traders.
They have been distributing Christmas “Open for business, but not for crime” posters.
A spokesman said: "We will be visiting other retail businesses in the area over the coming weeks with posters and the offer of advice as how to protect businesses from burglary."
The visit came as part of the force's 31 Days of Christmas campaign.
The initiative is seeing the team focus on different policing aspects each day throughout December.
The team is working with partner agencies to try and keep people safe and is conducting patrols around Weymouth and Portland.
