A stunt car from the Fast and Furious film franchise arrived in Dorset as part of a Bollywood film production.
The BMW 5 series turned up outside the Jubilee Hotel on Weymouth’s Esplanade before heading out onto location in Sydling St Nicholas, just north of Dorchester.
Built for the film Fast and Furious 9, the mocked-up police car was taking part in a series of high speed police chases being recorded predominantly using drones.
Nathan Willmott, who owns the company Cars on Films, provided the vehicle and drove the car during the scenes.
Originally from Weymouth, he was pleased to be able to bring the car down to the area.
He said: “We are doing some shots with blue flashing lights and high-speed chases. It is a bit different for the sleepy lanes of Dorchester and Weymouth.”

“I like bringing stuff back to my roots and put Weymouth on the map. When people are discussing using Weymouth as a location, I always encourage them to use the area.
“It is why I came to do the job, why I chose to do this job."
The BMW is a full stunt car and was one of 11 cars used in the Fast and Furious film which partly took place in the UK.
Only five cars survived the production of the movie which draws a lot of attention from car enthusiasts and movie fans.
Nathan added: “A lot of people follow the Fast and Furious films and when they see the cars they get really excited.”
“They have all the stunt stuff inside, including a full driver harness, fire suppression systems and hydro handbrake.”
The Bollywood film is being produced by the company 10+1 and is a 'time-travelling horror film' set in a haunted prison.
Set during Second World War and the modern day, the characters switch between the eras - always at seven o'clock - which is what the film has been called.
Filming started in late November in Poundbury along Peverell Avenue West before moving on to Dorchester Prison where the film is predominantly set.
Yesterday was the final day of filming in Dorset as film crews grabbed the last shots they needed before wrapping up.
