ALL trains running between Weymouth and Westbury have been cancelled due to a shortage of train crew.
Great Western Railway, which runs trains from Weymouth via Dorchester West to Bristol Temple Meads, says the line between Weymouth and Westbury is closed due to the shortage.
Disruption is expected until the end of the day.
Train passengers are also warned that due to ASLEF strike action, there will not be a full service on the line until December 9.
Passengers are urged to check their outward and return journey before setting out for the latest information to ensure that their intended journey is feasible.
Trains that are operating will be busier than usual because GWR will not be able to offer the normal service frequency and is not able to provide replacement road transport.
A Great Western Railway spokesman said: "Our sincere apologies for the inconvenience this may cause you."
