Emergency services were called to a windsurfer who needed help off Portland.
A Weymouth lifeboat crew was called to assist the windsurfer in Portland harbour at 11.36am this morning.
Upon arrival, the windsurfer was found to have managed to self-recover and the Weymouth RNLI said he was in good health.
A spokesperson for Weymouth Lifeboat said: "Our volunteer lifeboat crew launched aboard Jack & Phyl Cleare, our B class inshore vessel, at 11.36am this morning following a request from the coastguard to assist a windsurfer in difficulty in Portland harbour.
"Upon arrival at the scene the windsurfer was found to have managed to self-recover, and despite being somewhat cold they were otherwise in good health.
"The crew were stood down and returned to station, where the vessel was recovered to the boat house, cleaned down, refuelled and made ready."
