A major route will soon have its speed limit cut to 50mph.
The speed limit on the A354 Portland Beach Road will be changed from the national speed limit of 60mph to 50mph.
The new speed limit will come into operation from tomorrow Friday, December 1.
A map accompanying the notice shows it affects a stretch between Ferrybridge and just before the Osprey Quay Roundabout near the Shell petrol station.
This change has been celebrated by campaigners, who have argued that the road's location adjacent to Chesil Beach and the sea means that conditions are often sub-par with additional hazards.
The road has seen three fatal collisions in recent years and there is also an adjacent cycle path running alongside with no physical barrier separating bicycles and vehicles.
