Extinction Rebellion will be holding an open meeting with a former Shell employee to discuss her time in the company.
It will take place on Wednesday, December 6 at 7.30pm in St George's Church Hall in Fordington, Dorchester, and will be jointly hosted by Weymouth Climate Hub and Extinction Rebellion Dorchester, Weymouth, and Portland.
Caroline Dennett was a safety consultant for Shell for more than 10 years then publicly quit in May 2022, claiming the fossil fuel producer had a “disregard” for the climate, planet, and people.
There will be a talk with Dennett followed by a Q&A, discussing how her whistleblowing project offers hope to end reliance on fossil fuels.
Tickets are free and can be purchased on the Ticket Tailor website. A hot supper will also be offered.
