A food poverty charity has announced its winter appeal to provide nutritious meals to Dorset causes.
With food insecurity still on the rise during the cost-of-living crisis, The Country Food Trust’s fifth annual winter appeal aims to raise essential funds to deliver protein-rich meals to those in need during the challenging winter months.
Institutions the trust will be supporting include: Beaminster Foodbank, Bridport Foodbank, Christchurch Foodbank, Dorchester Foodbank, Hope for Food, Poole Food Bank, Ringwood Foodbank, Wimborne Foodbank.
The Country Food Trust’s CEO, SJ Hunt, said: “There is unlimited demand for our high protein ambient meals. Every pound donated through the Winter Appeal goes towards producing and distributing these fantastic meals to help feed people in need. Your generosity will make a difference to those facing food insecurity."
More information about the appeal can be found on The Country Food Trust website.
