A road in Broadmayne will be closed for more than two months.
Chalky Road will be closed between its junction with the A352 and number 47. This is a distance of approximately 540 metres.
Work is expected to begin on Monday, November 27 and be completed by Friday, February 2. This is almost ten weeks.
The closure is to allow SGN safe access to relay a new gas main.
The alternative route, which will be signposted is as follows: A352 - B3144 - Weymouth Avenue - Maumbury Road - Herringston Road - Chalky Road.
For further information about the work being undertaken and access arrangements, call SGN on 07874865505.
To discuss the closure order, contact Dorset Council on 01305 221020 or use its website: www.dorsetcouncil.gov.uk/roadworks/enquiries.
