Locals will have the chance to go on a chilling walk through Weymouth’s ghostly history this Christmas.

The festive season has often been linked with ghost stories since Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, but for one night only people in Weymouth will be able to step into Victorian England on a walking tour of the Old Harbour and passageways of Weymouth.

The walk will take place on Friday, December 1 meeting outside the Nothe Fort at 7.30pm.

From Saxon massacres, the Black Death, murders, mysteries, haunted happenings, a forgotten graveyard, and secretive paths the fascinating tour takes you into the lesser known history of the area.

The walking tour is organised by the Weymouth Heritage Centre, which has been operating local walking tours in the town for several years.

Tickets are available from https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/haunted-harbour-tour-tickets-748386904377?aff=oddtdtcreator# but could sell out fast with only 30 available.

Steampunk attire is encouraged for the event.
