A trendy new restaurant has opened at Dorchester's Brewery Square.
Drgnfly is an elegant Pan-Asian restaurant, offering a fusion of 'delicious cuisine' and 'show stopping mixology'.
Its opening has brought new jobs to the county town and is the second Drgnfly restaurant to open following the success of its original venue in Ashley Cross, Poole.
The venue has a restaurant situated on the ground floor and a bar area down below where drinkers can enjoy cocktails and nibbles.
There is also a private dining area at the back of the downstairs bar separated from the main area.
The restaurant opened for a soft launch over the weekend, and it has already received positive feedback.
Emily Davies, restaurant director, said: “It felt like the area was missing this kind of destination venue. It’s the perfect opportunity to have some drinks and get all dressed up.
“We offer professional but warm service with a high level of Pan-Asian food and mixology.”
There are multiple menus including a main, sushi, dessert, and kids with items like curries, donburi, stir fry, sashimi, maki and different matcha desserts.
There is plenty of choice for cocktail lovers, with drinks inspired by specific seasons from the eastern hemisphere, modern classics as well as sake.
The restaurant officially opened on Tuesday (November 7), and is now open for lunch and dinner, as well as private and corporate events.
The interior of the restaurant features a cascading faux cherry blossom tree with two peacocks sat on the branches.
There is plenty of impressive interior decoration, including a floor to ceiling samurai knight statue.
The opening of Drgnfly has also created a number of new jobs in Dorchester, although there are a couple of familiar faces from the Bournemouth Road venue in Poole who have joined the Dorchester team, including the manager, Carlos.
The Bournemouth Road venue has been ranked the number one restaurant in the area to visit on Tripadvisor.
There was also a Drgnfly Champagne and Sushi Bar inside of the bobbys department store in Bournemouth for a while.
